May 1, 2008 - Express.co.uk - Anthony Head (UTHER PENDRAGON) - stars in new comedy with Warren Clarke

COMEDY: The Invisibles

Warren Clarke and Anthony Head (pictured) team up for the first time in this entertaining new comedy-drama.

Syd and Maurice are an ageing criminal duo who come out of retirement for one last job.
After a heart attack in Spain, Maurice (Head) is persuaded by wife Barbara (Jenny Agutter) to trade in their life living it up on the Costa for a quieter one back in good old Blighty.

The couple and Maurice’s pal Syd (Clarke) return to England and set up home in a quiet Devon fishing village but it doesn’t take long before the men get bored and the lure of some quick cash sees them reverting to a life of crime and masterminding a heist with their friendly publican Hedley (Dean Lennox Kelly).

With a script by Minder writer William Ivory, this six-part series is wonderfully written and Clarke and Head play the old-timers to perfection.
At last, a gem of a show we can enjoy.
