Among the songs performed on the DVD — many by cast members from the original London production of Rocky Horror — are "Science Fiction"/"Double Feature," "Dammit, Janet," "Over at the Frankenstein Place," "Time Warp," "Sweet Transvestite," "The Sword of Damocles," "Hot Patootie - Bless My Soul," "Toucha, Toucha, Touch Me," "Once in a While," "Eddie's Teddy," "Planet Schmanet, Janet," "Rose Tint My World," "Don't Dream It, Be It," "Wild and Untamed Thing," "I'm Going Home," "Super Heroes" and the reprise of "Time Warp."
The Rocky Horror Show bowed in London in 1973. It played Broadway's Belasco Theatre from March 10, 1975 through April 5, 1975, with a cast led by Tim Curry, Jamie Donnelly and Meat Loaf. The 1975 film also cast Curry as Frank-N-Furter opposite Susan Sarandon's Janet Weiss and Barry Bostwick's Brad Majors. The recent, Tony-nominated revival at New York's Circle in the Square Theatre boasted a cast that comprised Dick Cavett, Lea DeLaria, Jarrod Emick, Tom Hewitt, Joan Jett, Alice Ripley, Daphne Rubin Vega, Raúl Esparza, Sebastian LaCause and Kevin Cahoon.
The DVD, which has a running time of 65 minutes, is priced $19.99 For more information visit www.kultur.com.

Notes

The Rocky Horror Show opened a huge revival production in the West End in 1990. Tim Mcinnery stared as Frank and recorded the role for the cast recording. Tim was succeeded a year later by Anthony Head as Frank. This single was released due to the very positive reception of his take on the role.

"The Time Warp" is NOT performed by Anthony Head, even though his name is indeed on the label. It is the recording from the cast recording "The Whole Gory Story" featuring Edward Tudor Pole (Riff Raff), Linda Davidson (Columbia), Mary Maddox (Magenta) and Johnathan Adams (Narrator)

May 4, 2006 - whedonesque.org - What People thought of Anthony Head in Rocky horror picture show

May 04 2006

A review of the Rocky Horror Tribute - from the Guardian with a brief mention of Anthony Head.

Anthony Head was impressive as a sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania disporting himself in heels as if it were second nature.

Sorry, I have to quote that. 'cause.

I would love to see Tony in heels! Heck, I would loved to have just been there. At how many late night, double feature picture shows did I just take a jump to the left? *fondly remembers*

"Rocky Horror" is my favorite musical...EVER!
I've never seen Tony Head in it (except for pictures). No doubts that he's great as Frank, but I still haven't seen anyone matching Tim Curry as the sweet transvestite.

Rocky Horror is not the greatest musical in the world. However, a strong Frank could really pretty much just save the day. The last time I saw the musical, Brad was more charismatic than Frank, which was criminal. I looooove the idea of hearing Mr. Head sing the part. I really enjoyed his album and I can totally imagine his acting chops infusing his singing with real spark. OMWF was proof enough that he's "got it all", as it were.
