McGrath told TV Choice that the pair will form an uneasy alliance against Camelot in the BBC fantasy drama's fourth run.
"I don't want to say he's Morgana's bitch, but he is!" she laughed. "She's using him and he's using her for all the wrong reasons."
She continued: "He's Arthur's mother's brother and he blames Arthur and Uther for her death. He wants revenge."
McGrath praised her new co-star Parker, calling the Stardust actor "brilliant".
"Actors who come into Merlin have to embrace it and he so does, he gets the whole thing," she said. "He's completely up for it and slotted in totally."
McGrath recently compared the new Morgana to Star Wars villain Darth Vader and called the character a "ticking time bomb".
"Everybody was just waiting for her to go off and by the fourth series you're getting to the point where she might be ready to explode!" she said.
Merlin returns to BBC One this Saturday at 7.50pm.
