'Merlin' star Alexander Vlahos: 'Final episodes are powerful, brutal'

Merlin star Alexander Vlahos has praised the show's final episodes.Vlahos - who assumed the role of Mordred for the BBC fantasy drama's final series - revealed that he is "happy" with how the finale "ties the five years together".
In a Radio Times web-chat, the actor said: "I am happy with the ending. The scripts are very powerful, heartfelt and brutally honest. It... honours the fans and the legend."
The 24-year-old added that he was "a little surprised with some aspects of the ending" - which will air on BBC One on Christmas Eve.
"But I think that was because... the writers have been brave in what they want to achieve with it," he explained.
Merlin's Katie McGrath (Morgana) recently told Digital Spy that the show's final two-parter "really answer all the questions that have been posed throughout the past five years" while Bradley James (Arthur) also toldDS that he was "happy" with how the series ends.
Merlin continues this Saturday at 8.15pm on BBC One with new episode 'The Drawing of the Dark'.
