BBC bosses have confirmed the drama is set to return
BBC One's Sunday night drama, The Musketeers, is set to return for a second series after its high ratings.
The drama launched a month ago with the first episode raking in 9 million viewers, making it the most popular launch episode since Call the Midwife. The numbers then steadied off to a positive 6million for the other three episodes.
BBC bosses have confirmed that stars of the show Luke Pasualino (D'Artagnan), Santiago Cabrera (Aramis), Tom Burke (Athos) and Howard Charles (Porthos) will return for the second series. However, there is no word yet on whether Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi will return as Cardinal Richelieu. Further cast details are yet to be announced.
