Charlie Hunnam(Credit: Radcliffe/Bauer-Griffin/GC Images) LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - APRIL 17: Charlie Hunnam films scenes for the upcoming movie 'Knights of the Round Table' in Capel Curig, Wales on April 17, 2015 in London, United Kingdom.
Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur is in the works, and director Guy Ritchie revealed that it will not come out to be how fans expect it to be.   Charlie Hunnam also revealed details about his character and said that his character is a hustler.
Photos of Charlie Hunnam's King Arthur were recently released in its recent issue  of Entertainment Weekly showing the King looking rather gruff and tough with his Excalibur sword. Unlike the other previous films, director Guy Ritchie revealed that fans will be seeing more layers to the character of King Arthur in the movie.
"I think where the pitfall has often been is trying to make King Arthur bland and nice, and nice and bland. The two qualities make rather compatible bed companions. Unfortunately, they're not interesting to watch." Ritchie said. "Luke Skywalker was always the most uninteresting character in Star Wars because he's the good guy. Good guys are boring," he added.
Charlie Hunnam also revealed details about his character. Hunnam said that King Arthur is more than just the good guy. "He's a little bit rough around the edges, but he's basically a survivor. He's a hustler. He's a street kid. There's definitely a harder edge to him than people would imagine. It's sort of classic Guy Ritchie stuff," he said.
King Arthur was a 5th century King who was orphaned while he was still an infant and was raised by three prostitutes. He later defended Britain from Saxon invaders. The movie is also said to have a touch of fantasy to it as it will feature giant snakes, massive war elephants, and a monstrous Viking-like creature called The Nemesi, according to Geeks of Doom.
According to Slashfilm, the upcoming movie could be the start of a six-film franchise, and the film's performance in the box office might dictate if this plan is to be pushed through or not.
Knights of the Round Table will also star Jude Law, Katie McGrath, Eric Bana, Poppy Delevingne, Astrid Berges-Frisbey, Annabelle Wallis, and Djimon Hounsou among many others. It is set to hit theaters on July 22, 2016.
